A Connected Scotland Focus Groups

The deadline for the Scottish Government’s draft strategy on A Connected Scotland is looming and will close on 27th April 2018.

The preferred method to complete the survey is online at https://consult.gov.scot/equality-unit/connected-scotland/

The Scottish Government held one SOLD OUT consultation event in Dundee on 1st February (seems like only yesterday!) and another is being held on Thursday 12th April at 1.30pm – 3.30pm, for which I believe there are a few places left.

To book a place at Thursday’s event, please follow this link at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/social-isolation-and-loneliness-strategy-dundee-consultation-event-tickets-42452429359?aff=erelexpmlt

There were 3 main questions asked at the consultation events:

  1. What needs to change in your community to reduce social isolation and loneliness and increase the range and quality of social connections?
  2. Who is key at local level in driving this change, and what do you want to see them doing more (or less) of?
  3. What does Government need to do nationally to better empower communities and create the conditions to allow social connections to flourish?

In order to gather the views of as many people as possible (individuals and organisations) , we will be facilitating some focus groups next week that will ask these questions.

These sessions will take place in DVA, Number Ten, 10 Constitution Road, DD1 1LL on:

  • Tuesday 17th at 10am
  • Wednesday 18th at 10am
  • Wednesday 18th at 2pm
  • Wednesday 25th at 10am.

Please let me know which session you will be attending by calling me on 01382 305745 or by email on nicolamitchell@dva.scot
