Domestic Abuse Campaign
On the 1 April 2019 a new domestic abuse law came into force in Scotland. This law creates a new offence covering psychological harm, as well as physical harm. This means abusers engaging in patterns of coercive and controlling behaviour can be punished by law.
The integrated campaign is running across TV, outdoor, digital and social media, with outdoor ads strategically placed in discreet areas such as wash rooms and changing rooms to reach and communicate directly to victims in a one to one environment. You can view the TV ad at http://bit.ly/DomesticAbuseTVAd, and we’d appreciate if you could please share this across your social channels.
Please find attached a toolkit which includes further information about the campaign and social media copy for you to use on your channels alongside the campaign hashtags, #choices #domesticabuse. You can also find resources to download including posters, artwork and the ad at http://bit.ly/2FqfRme
Over the course of the campaign, we will also be sharing powerful videos through the voices of domestic abuse survivors.
If you have any questions or would like to chat through the campaign, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
