Peer2Peer Taster

This is an opportunity for anyone who has their own lived experience of mental health difficulties to come along and participate in an afternoon of Peer Recovery training. The afternoon will be held at Dundee Voluntary Action, Number Ten, 10 Constitution Road, Dundee DD1 1LL, on Friday 15th December 2017. The afternoon will be led by Louise Christie, from the Scottish Recovery Network. The day is intended as a taster for the full, 6 week Peer2Peer Training Course course, starting on 19th January 2018. Peer2Peer Training Course

This 6 week training course is for anyone who has their own lived experience of mental health difficulties, who wishes to use their experience to help and support others. The course will take place every Friday afternoon, starting on 19th January 2018 and ending on Friday 23rd February 2018. The will be led by Rob Warren and Shirley Townsley. Participants will need to be able to commit to attend and complete the full course. Places are limited. Making Recovery Real in Dundee Film

The Making Recovery Real in Dundee partnership has just released its first film Making Recovery Real in Dundee (One City, Many Recoveries). It is a film recording the personal stories of recovery from people who have their own lived experience of mental health difficulties. The film shares the unique experiences of participants and their journey to recovery. The aim of the film is to promote recovery and support recovery for others.
