The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that design and deliver tailored adventurous outdoor learning courses for young people aged 9 to 24.
Each year we hold a number of Free Teacher Taster courses for schools, colleges and youth groups that do not currently work with us to find out a little more about the work that we do, the approach that we take, and the impact that it has. They have been really successful in helping us to forge new partnerships and in helping school leaders and youth workers to deliver a range of educational outcomes.
The next taster course in the calendar is Friday 27th – Saturday 28th April at our Loch Eil centre near Fort William. We are changing the format slightly and will be focusing specifically on how we can develop Employability Skills in young people and how we can contribute to the DYW agenda in Scotland.
There is no cost associated with the course, it is completely free and all food, accommodation and equipment required is provided. Further details, including sign up, timings, date (it is an overnight) and rough agenda can be found here https://www.outwardbound.org.uk/courses/schools-colleges-and-youth-groups/free-taster-course/ .
