Peer 2 Peer Vocational Training Course, starting Friday 20th April 2018

There are several spaces available on the next Peer 2 Peer Vocational Training Course, starting on Friday 20th April 2018 (two weeks time).

The Peer 2 Peer Vocational Training Course has been developed by partners across Europe to train people who have a lived experience of mental health difficulties to use their experience to help others. The course has 12 modules, delivered over six weeks, every Friday between 1pm and 3:30pm, starting on Friday 20th April. The venue is the Camperdown Room, Dundee Voluntary Action (DVA), Number Ten, 10 Constitution Road, Dundee. DD1 1LL. The course is offered free to participants. To finish the course and obtain a certificate attendance for the full six weeks is required.

This is a highly rated and popular course. Previous participants in Dundee have commented:

“I don’t feel there was a ‘best’ part or aspect of the course. I believe and felt all aspects were informative and exceptionally well put across.”

“I feel more confident to be in a position to help others.”

“Brilliant!”

“It strengthened my skills to make myself available to help many more people.”

“The course facilitators were good to work with and a good laugh as well.”

“I would just like to finish off by saying that I have had a great 6 weeks doing the course, I have learned things I didn’t know, met some interesting people. I would also like to say that the course facilitators were smashing.”
