Wellbeing Works is the new brand for what was Dundee Association for Mental Health. We have been providing mental health support for people who face severe and/or enduring mental health challenges in Dundee for more than 50 years.  We provide a range of projects and services to help support individuals towards recovery and better mental health.  We support people on a one to one basis and in groups, and offer participants the opportunity to set personal goals and objectives that will help them to move towards better mental health and wellbeing, and to engage with their own communities.

Peer Development Worker

Salary £18,725

We are recruiting a Peer Development Worker who, as part of the Peer Support Team, will provide support and mentoring for Peer Workers and volunteers, enabling them to develop skills and confidence in their roles.

The successful candidate will work with Peer Workers and volunteers to provide services that enable participants to work towards achieving their goals and outcomes.  They will also promote links with other services in local communities to facilitate the participant’s journey through defined outcome pathways.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience with a mental health condition, and will have excellent communication skills and an ability to connect with others.

The post is full time and will be based at our city centre premises in Dundee.

Peer Worker

Salary £16,965 pro rata

We are recruiting a Peer Worker who can enable participants to work towards achieving their personal goals and outcomes.   The Peer Worker will promote links with other services in local communities to facilitate the participant’s journey into Wellbeing Works at the point of referral, and, where appropriate, to progress from Wellbeing Works to engage with other activities within the community.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience with a mental health condition, and will have excellent communication skills and an ability to connect with others.

It may be possible to appoint more than one person to this post if applicants are looking for part time work. 

The post will be based at our city centre premises in Dundee and the hours will be negotiated to meet the needs of both the preferred candidate and the organisation.
