The Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel has launched a new website which outlines responsibilities and the complaints process.
You can now find them at www.goodfundraising.scot.
This website should be useful to all fundraisers, from professional fundraisers in large charities to volunteers working on much smaller projects. It will also be of use to members of the public – the website avoids jargon and is designed to be straightforward and easy to use. It also includes information about what to do if you find that fundraising standards are not being upheld.
Alison Elliot, chair of the Panel, has said that the “aim is to help fundraisers to be confident about how they raise money for charities and to make sure that donors are comfortable about giving.” We wholeheartedly support that intention and we are delighted to be working closely with fundraisers and with the Panel to make it happen. You can read more about how we are making sure that fundraisers are having their voices heard here.
You can also find the panel on Twitter at @GoodFundScot, and if you’d like any more information you can contact Gillian Mackay at email@example.com.
