Voluntary Sector Vacancies: Stewart Ivory Financial Education Trust-Self-employed Financial Education Officers

Stewart Ivory Financial Education Trust (SIFET), a registered charity which delivers financial education to senior pupils in schools throughout Scotland, is looking to add to their team of self-employed Financial Education Officers (FEOs).

As an FEO, you are assigned to cover a specific region, close to your home. You would be self-employed but you would represent SIFET at all times and would be paid for sessions run in schools as well as travel expenses and for attending occasional team meetings for professional development.   FEOs have considerable flexibility in managing their own diaries to deliver workshops in schools, typically from September until the end of March.

The workshops are designed to raise the pupils’ financial awareness and include money management, budgeting, and savings. The programme is delivered with all the resources, materials and training supplied by SIFET.

SIFET welcomes applicants from all backgrounds but it is crucial to demonstrate proven strong presentation skills and an ability to engage effectively with young people. It is also important to have a good understanding of, and interest in, the financial issues facing young people.

If you are looking for a flexible, term time, self-employed role and feel that you might be a good fit for SIFET, please forward your CV, including details of your location within Scotland.
