We have now opened a 90 day public consultation on the future of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. It will run until 14 May 2018.
The Scottish Government has increased our spending capacity by £15.5m for 2018-19 to deliver transformation.
Our consultation document sets out our vision, explains why the SFRS needs to transform and asks a number of important questions about how transformation should be achieved.
I have no doubt that you will be interested in what transformation of the SFRS means locally for you and hope that we can engage at an early opportunity on the key questions for this area.
Please feel free to contact me by e: email@example.com or t: 07785572129 so that you and I may discuss our proposals in a relevant local context.
We have created a number of ways in which to engage in the consultation:
1. Visit our website: http://www.firescotland.gov.uk/transformation/public-consultation.aspx
2. Send an email to: SFRS.Transformation@firescotland.gov.uk
3. Write to us at ‘Your Service….Your Voice’, Management Suite, SFRS HQ, Westburn Drive, Cambuslang, G72 7NA
We truly believe that, with transformation, the SFRS can do so much more for the people of Scotland and we ask for your support to help us deliver that change.
By working together we can make change happen.
