YouthLink Scotland Announces New Round of Cashback for Creativity Open Fund
The CashBack for Creativity Open Fund has been established to support organisations seeking small amounts of funding to deliver creative activities for young people in Scotland – primarily those who have traditionally found it hardest to access creative opportunities.
Throughout the current cycle of the programme £250,000 will be awarded to support community-based arts projects, with individual proposals being able to access awards of up to £10,000 to deliver up to 12 months of creative activity for young people.
Awards from the fund will be made to organisations in the arts, screen and creative industries, third sector and youth work sector. Applicants should be based in Scotland, working with young people and supporting the delivery of free community-based arts activities for those aged 10-24 who are living in Scotland.
Launching the programme’s current funding round, Laura Black, Arts Officer for CashBack for Creativity at Creative Scotland, said:
“We’re excited to launch the second round of the CashBack for Creativity Open Fund delivered in partnership with YouthLink Scotland.
“CashBack for Communities provides essential creative opportunities to Scotland’s young people to have fun in their communities, while raising their aspirations for future employment and building confidence and self-esteem.”
Three rounds of the Fund will run across the three years of the Cashback for Communities programme (2017-2020). Round two is now open with a deadline for the receipt of applications of Monday 22 January 2018.
