The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence is a global campaign set up in 1991 calling for the elimination of all forms of violence against women.
The focus of this year’s international campaign is ‘’End Gender – Based Violence in the World of Work’’. This year’s theme builds on the momentum and achievements during the 2017 campaign, when over 700 organizations in 92 countries campaigned around the theme of “Together We Can End GBV in Education.” The goal for 2018 is to continue to target the institutions in which gender-based violence is perpetuated and push for systemic change and accountability.
Just like every year, the Dundee Violence Against Women Partnership worked closely together to organise a number of awareness raising events which will be delivered between the 25th of November and the 10th of December. Below is this year’s event programme with a range of events that will be delivered to the general public and professionals.
